can primers age? - (Aug/17/2006 )

i dont know what is happening....my pcr IS working but i have to put more of my primers and i always get some dimers or whatever....i never had these problems before unsure.gif always clean pcr...i already asked if my thawing them at RT could effect them?? but it seems unlikely. they are only 1 month old.. ohmy.gif what is possibly wrong??

If u have too much primers, it could increase primer dimers.

u could increase ur template DNA, it helps to reduce dimers.

But as long as u get good PCR product, I wouldnt bother with other things.
