Tritonx114 - (Aug/16/2006 )

Triton X 114 is supplied in grams. I want to ask that when you have to use then use accoding to grams or liquid. Means if you have to use 1 percent then 1 ml or 1 g.

Normally you will see the symbol v/v, w/w or w/v meaning volume-to-volume, weight-to-weight and weight-to-volume respectively.

When using thick, syrupy detergents like one of the Triton range the protocol normally states v/v or more likely w/v. For 1% this means either 10 µL Triton per 1 mL total volume or 10 mg per 1 mL total volume depending on the measurement.
