Monocyte-derived DC generation: CD14 separation or adherent cells better? - (Aug/15/2006 )

Hi all,

This is my first post...
I'm just starting to derive DCs from monocytes, and I've noticed in the literature some people do a CD14 separation of PBMC to get monocytes, while others simply take plastic-adherent cells.
Is one method better than the other?

Any other tips on DC generation would be appreciated, thanks!
