EMSA - Polyd[i-c] - (Jul/16/2006 )

I am doing EMSA. Poly d[I-C] from Roche says it has 50 A260 units. I dont know how to reconsitute it if i want to make 1ug/ul. Does anyone know how many microg makes 1 A260 unit of Roche's Poly d[i-c].

Tech Support of Roche was of no use.

Because it's double-stranded, use 1 OD = 50 ug/ml.

50 A260 units means 50 x 50 µg (per ml)

This equates to 2500 µg.

Dissolve your lyophilised DNA in 2.5 mL of water and then heat it to about 50 deg C for 5 mins. Allow to cool naturally and store in the freezer.

Hey presto!
