Crystallisation of Phenol saturated solution - (Jun/30/2006 )

Hi...

I would like to know anyone has the experience in their lab with the crystallisation of saturated phenol when kept in refrigerated condition (0- 4°C). The Phenol we brought was from Sigma saying it to be saturated phenol of pH8. When this saturated phenol (with Tris as the top layer)kept in refirgerator gets crystallised. Any one can suggest something regarding this.

the phenol is not saturated well.
what's the total vol of Tris used for 100ml of phenol

ask to sigma for explanations. They may kindly send you an other bottle of phenol.
