Glioblastoma cell lines and transfection - stable transfection (Jun/29/2006 )

Has anyone ever (stably) transfected glioblastoma cells (U343, U251, U87, U373)? If yes- with which reagent?

Hi I transfected another glioblastoma cell line, the T98G, with Oligofectamine and obtained >80% transfection efficiency. Hope this can help somehow

Hello,

have you ever transfected schwann cells? I am looking for a good reagent/method for siRNA transfection for schwann cells. oligoblastoma is fairly similar though maybe I'll give Oligofectamine a try.

Thanx a lot!
80 % sounds great. But I need stably expressing clones! Any expereince with that?

Once you transfect your cells, you can make a selection with the right antibiotic and you will select the clones. Please, have a look at the post of last week, we discussed about it wink.gif

Ok. My question was confusing.. wink.gif what I actually wanted to ask, is if anyone in this forum has ever made (or knows someone who did) stable clones with glioblastoma cells.
