Transformation for Pichia pastoris into yeast? - (Jun/23/2006 )

Hi all, I am going to try to transform a pichia vector into yeast (pichia pastoris), but this is my first time doing it and I have no experience at all, anyone have any tips to offer? I am going to use the transformation protocol provided by Invitrogen. But which is a better one? electroporation or chemical transformation? why is it that Pichia cannot use lithium acetate? and anyone have any idea whether I can transform the vector in its circular form?

Electroporation is better, but if you don't have electroporatos, chemical transformation works well.
