hi everybody,

during DNA replication, a primer is needed, Ok..

after replication, the new DNA strand is shorter, since the oligonucleotides of thr primer are not replicated, and each time DNA is replicated, it becomes shorter and shorter,

my Q is: what role of telomers here?
and: why the gap created after primer removing is not filled? (if it is not)?
