formaldehyde in RNA gels - (May/11/2006 )

Hi all, i have some problems with RNA agarose gels, especially with the formaldehyde concentration in the gel and in the sample, somebody can HELP ME, telling me what the formaldehyde does to the RNA and to the agarose??????, i am following the protocol for ambion, but a found another protocols, and the concentrations are completely different. unsure.gif

I just find the bands are tighter and clearer than 1%

Probably won't matter too much
