Does any body knows about any apparatus used for filter sterilizatoin?? smile.gif

You need something to sterilize buffers?
The only good method I know is to pull the buffer through the filter with a vacuum pump...

yea equal to or less than 50 ml

If the volume is that small, use a 0.22 or 0.45 µm Luer-Lok syringe filter:



If it's a larger volume, use a bottle-top vacuum filter:

we recently bough a reusable fiter unit (in which the filter is changed every time) from nalgene coming with 100 0.22µm filters. 205€.

Quick note:
22um filters are better for sterilization as well as a cellulose acetate (CA) type filter.
