4 deg Celsius after PCR - (May/07/2006 )

How important is to bring your PCR samples to 4 deg Celsius at the end of the PCR reaction? Is it ok if you dont bring it to 4deg C?

Stratagene's Real time PCR MX3000 does not have the facility to lower the temperature below 25 deg C. Has anybody used this machine, any suggestions on this or ABI 7300? rolleyes.gif

Thanks

Why do you want to bring your samples to 4 degrees? AS far as I know realtime is not an endpoint assay, so you don't need the products for anything (unless you want to run a gel or something from them), and so storing them at 4 degrees is pointless.
