Question on the recommended application of primary Antibody - (May/07/2006 )

I have some primary antibodies recommended for IF IP or WB,even the IHC(Frozen section), But not for IHC(P), I want to know why the antibody can't be used for the IHC(P) ?Is there any professional explation? Why the antigen being retrieved,there is still no positive staining on the specimens?
