Myocyte/Fibroblast Detection - (Jan/23/2001 )

I am desperately seeking an antibody that can be used to tag fibroblasts. Iam using immunofluorescense to identify myocytes and fibroblasts in a cellculture consisting of fetal sheep heart cells where the myocytes have de-differentiated and can no longer be distinguished visually. I have found antibodies that will work for the myocytes, but nothing that will separately identify the fibroblasts. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hi,prolyl 4-Hydroxylase gives positive staining for fibroblasts. As a matter of fact, i am working with the exact same antibody myself! The company you order from will suggest using it at 1:100 concentration, but i find that 1:50 works better.

Hope thinks work out.

I am looking for a technique to measure small quantities of hyaluronic acid that is secreted from cells in culture?
