Tissue sample storage - (Apr/19/2006 )

Hi

I had snap frozen the tissue samples and stored at -80. For how many years the sample will be stable at -80. I need to use the sample for RNA and protein extractions.

Hi Suguna,

I routinely extract quality RNA and protein from fresh frozen brain tissue stored at -80ºC since 1999. However, I assume there might be differences from one tissue type to another.
