Control Vector - (Apr/12/2006 )

CAN CONTROL VECTOR UNDIGESTED WHICH HAS BEEN EXTRACTED FROM BL -21 STARINS CAN BE USED AGAIN FOR CLONING. I HAVE STOCK SOLUTION SUPPLIED BY COMPANY.
IF I TRANFER IT IN SUITABLE HOST AND EXTRACT IT FROM BACTERIAL STRAIN THEN IT CAN BE USED AGAIN FOR CLONING

hi
it depends if the control vector holds the MCS or not...
You can tr it if it contains it.

If i tranfer pure undigested vector into bacterial strains and the purified plasmid can be used for cloning beacuse it contains all the MSC. Is It.
I have 10 ul supplied by company and I have to do lot of cloning . I want to inceeasr its amount by trnaforming undigested vector into bacterial strains.

to clarify - you have 10ul of vector from a company and want to make more?
Yes! Transform cells, and purify.
You may want to do a midi-prep to make up a lot of stock.
Although I would do a miniprep first, and confirm the size etc of your vector before making a large amount of stock

hi
i agree with ausieuk. Some checkings are more suitable before doing large scale prep
