what happen under high pressure?
and is sonication usefull in this case?

I think this is simply a case of companies making assumptions based on other observations and just producing a generic protocol. If you look this topic up on Google the vast majority of protocols are from established firms, not individual people.

You probably find that someone knew you can make 10 M NaOH and 10 M CaCl2 and just assumed you could make 10 M NaCl.

I think we nearly all agree that it's impossible given the solubility data.

Also of interest; from the Google search I noticed lots of high-school tests which said how would you make 10 M NaCl or how much 10 M NaCl do you need to make 200 mL of 0.25 M NaCl.

I wonder is there was some smart alec out there who pointed out that both were purely hypothetical situations that could never be recreated in the lab smile.gif

No chance with sonication. The solvatisation of NaCl would be faster, until the maximum of around 380 g/l.

And pressure, only a changing for gas, not for solid compunds. With higher pressure and lower temperature there will be more gas i a solution. But for NaCl only the temp plays a smal part and the pressure doesn´t count.

I agree. Anyone who has tried it knows it's impossible
