house keeping gene in skeletal muscle - (Mar/31/2006 )

Dear All,

I am looking for a stable house keeping gene as control in skeletal muscle for RT PCR. Does anyone who works with muscle know this? Thank you very much for any suggestion!

I've done a lot of RT in a lot of different tissues and accross the board you can probably find:

beta-Actin
PPIB
18S
Gapdh

and
5S and U6 for small RNAs

Thank you very much for the reply! I am going to try both beta actin and RPL19 as control gene. I find some labs here they prefer to RPL19 as the general control, but I am not sure if I can use it in skeletal muscle.
