RAPD-PCR - (Mar/30/2006 )

why do weusesingle primer for rapd pcr?

-azzumax-

because its random binding patterns you are after, i.e sites where the primer binds close enough to another binding site for the same primer to allow amplification, should produce consistent bands. 2 priemr would produce many more bands and you wouldn't be able to determine which was from which primers, and it would make for hard analysis.
