PCR primers from amino acids? - (Mar/13/2006 )

Hi
Is it possible to design PCR primers from amino acids sequence? I found a software (FastPcr http://www.biocenter.helsinki.fi/bi/Programs/fastpcr.htm) that does this but I can't figure out how to design primers from AA seq-ce.

Any suggestions?

the problem with designing primers from amino acid sequences is that you have multiple codons for most amino acids. it can be done but the primers would have to be exceptionally degenerate.
