Nuclear receptors:Immunohistochemistry - (Jul/19/2001 )

Hi.I'm trying to stain for Nuclear steroid-type receptors in snap-frozen, ethanol fixed sections with polyclonal & monoclonal antibodies, but I can't seem to get good clear expression. Is there a more appropriate immunohistochemistry technique for staining nuclear receptors?thanks

I would try perfused-fixed tissue, preferably 4% paraformaldehyde. Antigenicity of steroid receptors is easily lost in inadequately fixed tissue. Hope this reply isn't too late in the day - I only just accessed the site. Cheers
