DNase I Amplification grade and DNase I for RNA treatment - (Mar/02/2006 )

Hi there,

Please I would like you provide with details about the use of DNase I Amplification grade and DNase I (INVITROGEN) to treat total RNA prior to RT-PCR reactions. I wonder if the DNase I (no amplification grade) is reliable for RNA purification for subsequent use for cDNA synthesis without affecting RNA integrity. Which is the difference between these enzymes?

Thank you very much,

Danilo Eduardo[i]

For DNase treatment of RNA, it is critical that the DNase doesn't contain any RNase activity. So high purity and high grade DNase I is preferred.
