What should I do for more samples need to be tested by real-time PCR? - (Feb/24/2006 )

Hi,

I have finished the real-time PCR test for many samples. In order to elucidate the hypothesis more clearly, I need to test several different samples. Should I repeat the samples I have already tested? Is it fine if I just test the samples I want to add and analyze them if I use the same sample for standard curve? If you have such experience, would you please share it with me? Thanks!

IMHO, this is how I approach such things, to make sure the data are 'real'

to show both reproducibility and statistical significance (i.e. increased sample population) I personally think you need to repeat the entire experiment independently, with a new standard curve for each
