miranda Error - (Feb/21/2006 )

After I opened miranda program, I keep getting this message on the program's screen.

ERROR:> 'miranda' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
ERROR:> operable program or batch file.

Even after I input the files, the same message keeps apperaring. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I'm running it on Window.

This is a DOS error -- it can't find the file you're asking it to execute. To correct it, you have to first change to the directory that contains the executable file, or add that directory to your path statement.

There are two versions of miRanda: command line and java version. If you are running the command line version, you need to run it under DOS by typing the file name (miranda.exe. you cannot launch the program by doubleclick in Windows. If it is a java version, make sure you have java installed and set the path correctly as Homebrew said, then double click the file with the extension of "jar".
