Bradford problems with TCA-Ether extracted samples - (Feb/21/2006 )

Recently I've performed TCA-Ether extraction on brain tissue samples and attempted to do a bradfords assay with no luck. The values on the bradfords assay are very scattered, and change greatly when I repeat the assay. Any ideas on why this is or what I should do?

Thanks,
Randolph

it's possible that some acetone remains in your samples. Second possibility, samples were too dried (usual with acetone, but not the problem itself) and you've resuspended too bad the protein pellet.
I usually do on rotating thermoblock for 1h/25°/1400rpm
