about 5'RACE? - (Feb/19/2006 )

Now I plan to perform a 5'RACE to get the transcriptional start sites of genes about Xcc (germ), but never do it before,anyone here have any suggestion or protocol? and can I obtain TSS(transcriptional start site) through this method? my email:pfy1982@gmail.com.Thank you in advance!

try ambion RLM RACE kit

the TSS is the same as the 5'end of the mRNA this is where the polymerase begins to make RNA from the gDNA and is found by identifying the full length 5' end of an mRNA
