any software can calculate the charge of protein - (Jan/31/2006 )

as up, any software or website can calculate the protein charge?
I want to use separose column, so need to know wheter m y protein is negative or positive charge.

for calculation of pI you can use this

Go to Expasy website you will find many tools for protein including the PI determination wink.gif

ExPASy

There you can paste your sequence, get the pI and you can decide, weather you use a more acidic puffer below the pI (protein is protonated) or you want a alkalic buffer for negative charged proteins.

for confirmation you are not seeing in triplicate : expasy is good for calculating pI
