why using Vent-exo polymerase? - (Jan/16/2006 )

Hy dear all
I was wondering what is vent-exo good for. What is the advantage over normal vent polymerase??

Thanks for your reply

If you need PCR product with an A extension for T-vector cloning, then you must use exo...if you don't, 95% of your product will be blunt-ended.

In every other way, regular vent/deep vent is better.

ANy application where you don't want 3'-5' exonuclease activity. One common use is mismatch PCR where you need to maintain the mismatch on the primer 3' end. Use the right tool for the job smile.gif
