DMSO - (Jan/02/2006 )

This is going to sound like a stupid question but I wanted to use Betaine or DMSO in my PCR but I don't have the faintest idea where in lab should I search, in what form do they come, as small liquid in the freezer or as salt that you keep in the fridge or what?

The DMSO I use comes in a big brown bottle. Betaine should be in powder (not sure)

Yes, DMSO sometimes makes a big difference.

Thanks, I guess that is the only place I haven't looked yet:P (where the brown bottles are)!

Hi,

Betaine usually comes as a liquid and stored at room temperature.

Hope you find them
