Non-isotope detection of mRNA and protein interaction - (Dec/29/2005 )

I have a truncated form protein.
I want to know if this protein will interact with mRNA .
are threr any ways that without using radioisotop ?

any suggestions will be great, thanks............ biggrin.gif

more details, please?

I would think perhaps some sort of pulldown binding assay...

thanks for your reply...

what i have : 1. truncated protein
2. Ab against wild type protein
3. mRNA from cell extract(maybe synthesize this protein 5' UTR mRNA)

I haven't done such kind of experiment ,before.
In the literature search, I found the wild type protein is an mRNA binding protein.
they use EMSA to do this experiment.
but I don't want to use radioisotop labelling method.

can you label RNA with a non-radioactive method? emsa's aren't too bad, once you get started
