How to calculate the size of a protein (in kDa)? - (Dec/27/2005 )

Dear all,

I would like to ask how to calculate the size of a protein if i get it's a.a sequences.

Heyy!

If u need an approximation.. u cud just go for..
No. of amino acids * 110 (i.e. the average mol wt of an amino acid) - No of amino acids * 18 (i.e mol wt of water)

For an accurate one.. u may have to go for Expasy.. on:
http://www.expasy.ch/tools/pi_tool.html
