Dear Aladdin Hamdy. I send you the protocol for preparing the Hank´s Balanced Salt Solution as indicated in "Data for Biochemical Research" Third Edition (Oxford Science Publications)0,80 g. NaCl0,04 g. KCl0,014 g. CaCl2 anhyd.0,01 g. MgSO4.7H2O0,01 g. MgCl2.6H2O0,006 g. Na2HPO4.2H2O0,006 g. KH2PO40,1 g. Glucose0,035 g. NaHCO3Gas AirRemarks 20 mg of indicator phenol red usually addedALL FIGURES ARE FOR 100 ml. SOLUTION.Sterilize by filtration through a bacteriological filter (e.g. cellulose nitrate (millipore) filter) because if you heat solutions containing NaHCO3, the loss of CO2 causes a more alkaline reaction.I hope this has been useful for you.Kind Regards; Carlos G. Estrada.
