overexpression and M9 media. - M9 minimal media and overexpression (Nov/24/2005 )

I have been growing ecoli BlD (P-lys) cells over night in 10 mls before transferring this to a litre culture for induction at .9 The thing is, how long should it take these cells to reach 0.9 abs at 600 nm. My procedure says six hours but I find that hard to believe.

Anyone, any rough experience with this.
