nuclear extracts - (Nov/22/2005 )

Hello everyone,

I intend to prepare nuclear extracts from frozen brain tissues. do I have a chance at all? I mean, is freezing them interfere significantly with compartment seperation? do you have a recommendation for a good kit for such purpose? any recommendation for such kit for nuclear extractions from cells?

good check is to analyse briefly two specific proteins :
For nuclear : p53, Histone H1, or myc
For cytoplasmic fraction GAPDH or tubulin will work well
