Freezing a Pellett.. (or however its spelt) - Spin laballed over expressed protein (Nov/22/2005 )

Im overexpressing a protein with Spin labells on it for NMR (dont know much about that yet) and since the columns are not ready yet, I was wondering if I could just do the ferementation and freeze it or could this cause problems in the long term?

You mean pelleting of the cells followed by freezing them, right ?

Should be ok in my opinion, in our lab we routinely do larger fermentations but only use smaller frozen aliquots for protein preps and it works out well.

Try to shock-freeze them, storing them at -80°C afterwards.

Good luck!
