Is RealTime PCR data enough for Telomerase activity? - (Nov/08/2005 )

Hi friends,
As the number of cells are really low am compelled to do SYBR Green based Real Time PCR TRAP instead of traditional TRAP. I was wondering if the data of results of Real Time PCR is eoungh for any good Impact factor journal or Gel picture ESSENTIAL!??? plz waiting for suggestions.

hi
a gel is not that long and the point that is in the mood is gel picture... cool.gif with its so pretty ladder

For me curvy graphs of Real Time are more beautiful than gel pics. but what about other people ?

To me, real time is much better than seeing gel pics from semi-quantitative, we all love to see it in the gel, but I think that if you have the real time data, which should be more sensitive, ensures linear range, and allows quantitation there isn't much point in doing semiquantitative PCR just to have a gel pic...

hi
i must complete my previous answer.
Molonco has actually better results than a gel. But i thnk that due to the fact gel is quick to set up and to get, i would do it and submit the two.
