The importance of RNAase - (Oct/19/2005 )

The importance of RNAase to extract DNA...please answer me now...pleaseeeeee smile.gif

What are you specifically asking for? Do you want to know if RNA effects PCR or ligations? I have never had to treat chromosomal DNA with Rnase for PCR. RNA does not effect PCR however, I believe it may interfere with other enzymatic reactions such DNA ligations or digestions.

hi
as there is plenty of RNA molecules in a cell (80%rRNA, 18%tRNA and 2%mRNA) the average quantity of RNA than DNA is in advantage of RNA. So you need to destroy it. RNAse destroy, followed by Phenol at pH8 which normally allows to get rid of the RNA.
