Real Time PCR for Telomerase - (Oct/06/2005 )

Hi I will be using Real Time PCR for quantification of telomerase activity. Any websites providing basics tips, hints and nitty gritties? or suggestion from you people will be really helpful. I would also want to know in this forum how you will address Real Time(RT or Real Time?)

you should better do a TRAP assay for seeing a telomerase activity... shouldn't you?

Yes fred u r right. Am doing TRAP assay using Real Time PCR (SYBR Green) as I want to narrow down to activity in as less as ONE cell!!

i'm not sure you can go down to one cell and see a telomerase activity... blink.gif

There is one paper which do infer that TRAP is possible with very few cells using Real Time PCR!:
