Why freshly prepared alkaline solution II for plasmid extraction? - (Oct/05/2005 )

hey, natural leaves, you probably already know this, but make sure to store your NaOH solutions in plastic, not glass!!!

I store mine at room temp without any problems. and I do not sterilize anything, as homebrew says:

"I'm not sure you need to worry about bacterial growth in a solution that's 0.2 N NaOH and 0.1%SDS, do you?"

it wouldn't be good lysis buffer if bacteria were happy in that solution
