What Carbenecillin concentration does everyone normally use??? - (Aug/24/2009 )

Hi Guys

I was just wondering what is the typical carbenecillin concentration used in your labs for making agar plates and such. I use 50micrograms per ml. Is that too little?

thanks for your help.

-Ms new scientist-

When I worked in Pseudomonas, we used to use 50 ug/ml for E. coli, and 300 ug/ml for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

-HomeBrew-

Sigma suggests 100 ug/ml for their shRNA bacterial culture.

-labtek-

Hey,

I too use 50 ug/ml for E. coli.

Best,
TC
