Denaturing agent Acrylamide-bisacruylamide gel - (Mar/29/2012 )

Hi,
what are the the denaturing agents for poliacrylamide sequencing gels different from Urea and formamide? I am asking for the same used in reprogel because has a good shelf life but there are not information a respect
Thank you

looking at the msds for reprogel (solution B), the only chemicals that are unusual are 2-pyrrolidinone (aka 2-pyrrolidone) and ethanediol (aka ethylene glycol).

keep in mind that the formulation of reprogel is proprietary and patented.

If it is patented, then you can find out exactly what is in it and how to make it. This is quite different from what is normally called "proprietary" which usually means "it's a secret and I won't tell you."

you're right, probably not proprietary, especially since the msds tells the percentage of each component in the stock buffer.

if you don't tell anybody...oops

-mdfenko-

...tell what??

I will continue buyng this product...but it is quite expensive...45 euro each 75 ml of ready to use solution!!!...1 liter of Acrylamide bis acrylamide cost 30 euro!!!!
