Simply Beautiful! - and worth a thousand words.... (Jun/07/2009 )
How about starting a thread which celebrates beauty and nature and life and science. Share images you find captivating or meaningful or just simply beautiful. Ill start:
The Spitzer Space Telescope caught this awesome image of comets colliding in the Helix Nebula (the red is the comet dust). Its likened to the red pupil at the center of a green monster's eye.
This beautiful animal is a sea slug. Its one of these soft bodied, shell-less molluscs called Nudibranchs.
An aye-aye
.
An omnivore Strepsirrhini native to Madagascar, perhaps a descendant of Darwinius masillae, also called "Ida"?
It's got your eyes... (or is it ears?)
