Noob asking about writing a review article - (Nov/22/2011 )

New to the art of writing here. How exactly does one start writing a review article? How are your workflows like (i.e. plan/read/write)?

Don't know if it's a good idea to start your writing career with a review article...but if you want or have to, first choose a good (i.e. not too comprehensive and broad spectrum) topic but something quite specific and concise. And something that you are interested enough in.
And yes, read...

i would not recommend writing an review without someone who has a strong background in the field you are planing to cover ...this someone can be an PI, PhD or a retired professor ...somone who can give you some guidance and someone who knows where to start and where to end. Don't try to do it on your own.
