Super Sparkily Bollwood-o-lichious PI wedding planning thread - where dreams take flight.... (Apr/16/2010 )
Hi, div-ji. we never understood the difference; neither between shalwar kameez and kurta.
Anyways, first we are planing the egnagement, right?

Hello Nabi-ji......kameez is what we wear with salwar..............kurta is similar except for the fact that it can be worn with jeans, or with churidar. often with salwar-kameez, girls wear a chunni/ dupatta....with kurta, its often not worn....
oh ok, then this will be for the engagement, for the wedding, I will look for something stylish to wear then.....................it would be a traditional wedding, so maybe i will something really non-traditional

well as most come using wavy robes and colourful stuff (with whatever names), I'll use this:
a good old Roman toga, of course then I've to be addressed "His Imperial Majesty"

ok, we could use a few lessons here on Indian fashion, Div...I guess the lehenga is the midriff baring blouse and the rest of the ensemble is a saree? Can we call this a lehenga-saree or am I so off?

my hair is short (but nice that you admit that I do have still hairs

And it's a ceremonial toga with complicated and specified drapery...no chance for dances (luckily

the beard would indicate your Y chromosome so you better grow some...and the togas are perfect for dancing and revelries. Didn't you say that the romans made the best bacchanalias and saturnalias ever?

pffftttt...noble Romans are clean-shaven and a toga is not a orgy dress, but la highly official dress. Every pleat has its exact place. For bacchanalias and saturnalias you wear a tunic or better nothing

and I'm not a dancing whatever but a well-known dance partner's feet stepper

but they wear nothing beneath that highly official dress, therefore- it's a potential orgy outfit...
