insert pdf files at middle of Word (2007) - still saved as Word file (Dec/23/2009 )

We have a word file, but now we have to insert 2 pdf files (other people prepared) at middle of word document (totally 45 pages). One file (5 pages) insert between current word file page 10 – 11 and the other (20 pages) between page 32 – 33. We would like to have a final merged file of 70 pages.
It is a stupid regulation, but I have to hand in 2 final merged files in Words and in pdf.

pdf final file is easy just save word file in sections as pdf and merge all pdf together by their specific order.
However, how to insert pdf at middle of Wrod file and still keep table and format?

thanks a lot

you may first have to convert the pdf to text (rich text format, rtf, will retain formatting).

there are some commercial and shareware software available to do this (the lowest price i found was ~us$30).

i also found some freeware available by searching at versiontracker.com.

two of these are:

all file to all file converter 3000

and

Pdf to Text Txt Rtf Converter 3000
i haven't tried these, so i can't speak for how well they may work. there were others shown if these aren't good for you.

(these are for windows, if you have a mac then you can do a similar search in versiontracker for the mac, you'll see the tab).
