Top : Histology : Tissue Microarray (TMA)

Summary: Tissue Microarrays (TMAs) or tissue array or tissue chips, originally described by in 1987 by Wan, Fortuna and Furmanski and popularized by Juha Kononen, is a powerful new technology for high throughput analysis of protein expression in a large number of tissue samples. Hundreds or thousands of tissue cores are arranged on a single slide, and then analyzed by a single immuno-staining or in situ hybridization reaction.
