Hi,

Does anybody know if there is a program could automatically change DNA sequence to modified sequence? When i tried to locate MSP primers from published papers to a specific sequence, it would be great help.

You don't need to edit the sequence manually. You can first do a find & replace in Word to replace "CG" to "XG" or whatever, then replace all "C"s to "T", then replace "XG" back to "CG".

I have attached a very handy word add-in program for sequence manipulation, called MBCS (molecular biology computer suite). You can save it onto your disk, unzip into a folder and then launch Word -> Tools -> Templates and Add-ins -> Add -> Then browse to the unzipped file (mbcs.dot) and select it, click OK.

Enjoy.

In Word, go to Tools->Macro->Security->, change the security level from high to medium or low. This will solve the problem.
