how to monitor gene expression over time in culture - GFP method (Sep/05/2005 )
Can i fuse the promoter of the gene in-frame with GFP gene. Then transfect it into cell. Afterward, i monitor the expression/fluorescent over a the time ie. a few days ??
Do u think this is feasible?
my question: Does GFP protein accumulate at cytoplasma which will probably mask the low expression period of the gene ??

What do you mean with 'cloning GFP in frame with a promoter'?
You can clone GFP behind any promoter to express GFP in any cell where this promoter is expressed.
Or you can express GFP fused to another protein IN FRAME.
Which promoter or protein are you thinking of?
