Image processing of gel - (Sep/02/2005 )

Hi everyone

Can anyone suggest me some good reading material on processing of gel images like unwarping and band detection.

I know that our gel doc system (Kodak) comes with a huge book that is dedicated to the software. I believe you can freeware available that essentially does this same thing, and with that there would be a manual of some sorts.
