Help: mitochondria extraction - (Sep/01/2005 )

hi, i want to measure the catalytic activity of some mitochordria membrane-bound protein, does anyone know if it is feasible to extract the mitochondria first without adverse effect on the catalytic activity change of that protein and then do some in vitro assay?? If this is feasible, can anyone suggest me some good mitochondria extraction kit? thanks a lot.
