Tissue culture of algea - (Jun/09/2005 )

Hello everyone !

Who can tell me how can I make tissue culture of algea ?(media 、condition......)

Do you have the Latin name of your algae? Because I don't know you mean sea algae or an other aquarium plant in fish tank.
On Google, algae is add to solidify the medium, so you can't find anything if you don't have the name .
And what do you have?(I mean steriled samples?)
I had tried to sterilize some aquarium plants but I can't, with Nympheales I must sow its seed on soft agar (MS 30g Succrose) for 3 day.Then move to liquid medium (MS) for grow up.
I am trying to find some beatiful aquarium's seed to continue

I am inducting callus of Laminaria japanica in our laboratory ,I have some data about it .we do it as them but have no result ! Why ?
I need help !

i think you can induce to callus in a dark room where endocell aucin can be protect from the photo
If not, you can find a pink bacteria often live in leaf (Oryza, chrysanthemum...) ,its phytohormone can help you to induce callus(or shoot, bud) more easilly
